Email Settings
When you create an account, you need a valid email address. After you create an account, you will receive an email for you to activate your account. Once you activate your account, you have 100% access to The Social Pit website. Unlike other social sites, The Social Pit dose not post recommendations based on what you what you click or the amount of likes you submit. The Social Pit will never sends out emails to notify you of anything. Any and all updates, changes, notification, announcements or anything else concerning The Social Pit are posted in The Social Pit Forums and will show up in the Activity Stream. After you create your account. Hover your mouse over ACTIVITY STREAM > SETTINGS > EMIAL and here you can choose what notifications you would like to leave on or turn off. These are the only notifications that you may or many not receive based on your preferences. You can changes your preferences at any time.

Private Chat Settings
You have the ability to add people you meet or friends to your friends list for private conversations. However, Privat Chat has a small cog wheel, where you can enable or disable email notifications as well as sound. On your bottom left of the chat, you will see a small cog wheel. Click on the Cog Wheel and you can enable or disable email notifications and sounds. These can be changed at any time and as many time as you like. In addition, you also have multiple settings that you might want to go through to enable or disable. These are all based on your personal preference.
