Modern Warfare III 2023 Feels Like a Modern Warfare II Update.

Modern Warfare III is a Remake
Modern Warfare III is not a remastered game. Modern Warfare III is a remake of the original Modern Warfare III, just like the past two Modern Warfare titles. Maybe the story it self may be a new story, however, the multiplayer maps have absolutely noting to do with Modern Warfare III. The Modern Warfare III multiplayer maps are rehash maps from Modern Warfare II, 2009. There will be no original maps at launch.

Multiplayer Map List
Modern Warfare III will have the following Modern Warfare II 6v6 multiplayer: 1) Arkaden 2) Bakaara 3)Bootleg 4) Carbon 5) Dome. 6) Downturn. 7) Fallen. 8) Hardhat. 9) Interchange. 10) Lockdown. 11) Mission. 12) Outpost. 13) Resistance. 14) Seatown. 15) Underground. 16) Village. As well as, four large-scale maps for Ground War, Invasion, and War Mode.

There will be a total of 20 maps. One key thing, the MWII maps are not remastered maps. All maps have undergone some changes, one notable change, doors have been added to some if not all the MWII maps, potentially braking up the flow. This may or may not be the case. The original MWII maps did not have doors. However, things can change between now and the BETA and/or the relese of the game.

Skill Base Match Making (SBMM) and Disbanding Lobbies
Not everyone plays Call of Duty for the story. Many, myself included, buy the Call of Duty just to play multiplayer. The PVP maps are taken from the story missions, well, that’s the way it use to be. Having said that, another huge problem is Skill Based Match making and lobbies brake up after every match. That, in itself, brake the entire social interaction. Nothing has been said about the removal or toning down of SBMM, not that I’m aware of. Nothing has been said if lobbies will remain intact after the match is completed.

Xdefiant Could Be a Problem
Yes, Modern Warfare III will bring back most everything that was removed, Dead Silence, faster mantling, slide canceling with old MWII maps and more. All of these re-added features/changes could have been added to Modern Warfare II along with the Modern Warfare II maps. However, Xdefiant will have no SBMM, no braking up lobbies, provided you stay after the match is complete, and it’s all connection based. Hence, ping is king.

Xdefiant won’t cost you anything since it’s Free to Play. As competition intensifies, both games will vie for the attention of players, setting the stage for an exciting rivalry. The only advantage that Xdefiant has, as I see it, it’s free to play with continual improvements, maps, weapons and won’t be pushing out a yearly game.

Conclusion
I love Call of Duty for what it is or use to be. Call of Duty use to cost $59.99 and the Season pass around $45.00 dollars. The Season pass will give you 4 pvp maps and one or two zombie maps. Today, that’s no longer the case. However, in recent years, the development team(s) have failed to address the cheating problem in multiplayer for all Call of Duty games going all the way back to Black Ops 2 to present day.

Yet, modern day CoD is filled with one over priced bundle after the next instead of 6v6 multiplayer content. Modern Warfare III with Modern Warfare II maps makes little to no sense and it just sound like an update to Modern Warfare II but with the Modern Warfare III name and a $69.99 price tag attach to it. Personally, I’m going to skip Modern Warfare III.

Leave your thought and opinion below in the comment section. Are you going to buy MWII or are you waiting for Xdefiant to drop?
